• The sentiments of surveyed Australian companies in the service sector.

• Frequency:
• Monthly. Usually released in the first week following the reporting month.

• Purpose (Why should traders care?):
• The composite index is based on the sentiments of Australian service companies on their sales, new orders, employment, inventories and deliveries. This number excludes industrial manufacturing sectors. Survey numbers above 50.0 usually indicate industry expansion while numbers below this typically suggest contraction.
